Since I began drinking more water my trips to the restroom has increased. Does anyone else have this happening to them? Do you why?

 i think ur just flushing ur system with all the water u are drinking
  • Is that bad? Because I do it a lot too. I pretty much just down water really quickly. I thought it was good because I'm still getting loads of water but not keeping it as weight.

My personal therory is if you increase the amount you put in your body, the amount coming out of your body will increase. So if you double the amount of water you drink, you can almost figure on a few more potty stops a day.

i am having the same problem except it seems to be worst at night. i seem to be up atleast 4 times. but i believe its true if you put more liquid in more needs to come out. hopefully our bodies will adjust and we wont have to stop so many times a day.
  • I agree with everything posted.. The main thing is to try and drink your eight glasses earlier in
the day and dry to not have any liquids after like 6 pm or so. So dring more fluids in the am and save 2 or 3 for the pm STACY
  • Losing weight and going to the bathroom go hand in hand.
Drinking more water has great benefits and only one downside.
    Pros:
    1) Drinking water helps you flush out your system, which your kidneys will like
    2) Drinking water can help clear your skin
    3) Drinking water helps you lose weight by flushing out your system. Humans can literally carry 8-10 pounds of CRAP inside of us. Drinking water helps flush it out, and in turn, helps you lose those few extra pounds!
    Cons:
    1) For the first few weeks that your body is drinking more water, you may (I mean you SHOULD) experience more bathroom trips. Your system is not used to so much water, and it's immediate response is to flush it out. Just take the bathroom trips, and in a few weeks, your body will get used to it.

    Morale:
    DRINK WATER PLEASE.

  • Makes sense. Just kinda hard to go potty when you are busy working. Gotta see all the good that benefit from drinking more water. Like you said, I just have to let my body get used to drinking more water. :drinker: :drinker:
  • same here :blushing:
  • If all else fails, I guess I could use depends or something to get me by till my break LOL...

The extra trps to the toilet are annoying but worth it in the long run. I have been 3 times today and only been up 2 hours!

As soon as i get to work in the morning i drink about 4 glasses of water and then gradually slow down during the day. If you have it too late you end up at the toilet all night! affecting your sleep!

Once your body is use to it i hope the toilet stops will calm down!

also it sounds horrible but throughout the day you will see a change in the colour of your urine it will start darker and end up alot lighter almost clear! This is because your body has washed all the badness out of you so i am told!
  • well I have a lot of badness to flush out.. just wish we didn't have to potty so much.
