I live in a place where all our meals are cooked for us. However saturday days are AWFUL if you are watching your calories. Waffles for breakfast, hotdogs for lunch and gravy and rice for dinner.

They do have a basic supply of "staples" such as 2 percent milk flour sugar splenda some of the basic vegetables nothing to wild or exotic. brown sugar any seasioning eggs and last but not least low fat yogurt

I'm wondering if based on these ingredients if I could come up with a low calorie saturday eating plan.

Oh and I forgot to mention they have three cereals rice krispies corn flakes and cheerios.

Thanks in advance for the ideas.

Chrissy

to start with, its not always what you eat but how much you eat. We can have anything but need to measure it out. Do they have measuring cups? If not, don't fret.. go on the internet and find ways to judge portions using your hand. Oh yes, its on there. Just start paying attention to how much you eat of every food item. I sugest you keep a daily journal besides MFP. I do. The cereals are great choices, use one packet of splenda on them if you need sugar. and make sure its only one cup of cereal and one cup of milk. people tend to over portion their cereals. they don't feed you any meat or vegies on Saturday evenings? only gravy and rice? if the gravy is separate from the rice, that is even better. a typical portion is two tablespoons I believe. a portion of rice is half cup. you can only have one waffles per portion and the syrup if any also needs to be quarter cup/2 tablespoons. You are better off with cereal. hot dogs could be eaten without a bun to save the high empty calories. eggs are great sources of protein too. It will be a challenge but very doable. Not sure if they cook it for you or you cook it. you can always mix vegies in your eggs and make a omelet type thing. yogurts are good too. if you can hardboil the eggs that would be very convenient to just grab and eat. eat lots of vegies to fill you up. Just make sure you watch those portions and drink lots of water with your meals and in between too. I cant really give you a meal plan unless I know more info like if you are doing the cooking or they are, is that really all they offer you? only hotdogs for your "meats" ?? things like that. good luck

what loseweightwit said but heres some more ideas

    breakfast:
you can have one waffle and yogurt on the side and a serving of fruit
    eggs with veggies
    Cereal and fruit
yogurt with some cheerios on top like a parfait and fruit

    lunch:
go ahead and eat the hot dog but just one and have a serving of fruit and or veggies

    Dinner:
a serving of rice with some veggies mixed in and a small amount of gravy.

    Hope that helps

The problem with this menu is you aren't going to be able to get enough protein while keeping calories in check.

    I suggest hunting.
