I have questions about the calorie intake that this site has proposed. They put me on a 1200/day calorie intake. Once I exercise, I burn 457 calories. Shouldn't I be eating more. PLEASE HELP!

yes - you eat the 457 calories on top of the 1200. If you don't feel confident that the calorie burn number is accurate, at least eat 1/2 of them.0 -
So, if I eat 1600 calories per day, it should not interfere with my weight loss?0

Correct. If your food calories are reasonably accurate, and your burns are reasonably accurate. It didn't hurt my progress in the least, and it made it easier to do it.0 -
How do I get my ticker to start moving?0

it should move automatically when you record a weight loss... if it's not, you'll need help from tech support.0

Yes..first of all for most people I personally think 1200 is too low unless you've got a lot of weight to lose. But 1200 is your net calories, so if you burn 457 calories, you should be eating 1657 calories in order to net 1200. Some people think you shouldn't eat back your exercise calories, but I always did and i still lost weight and the few times i didnt eat my exercise calories back, i was crazy hungry. If you log your exercise in my fitness pal, it automatically recalculates how many calories you can eat so that way you eat your exercise calories. I always used my bmr as my net calorie intake (your bmr is how many calories you burn by just living and breathing and the amount your body needs to function). If you google bmr calculator, you can figure out yours. I hope I cleared that up for you and didn't confuse you lol0

My BMR is 1594.98, roughly 1600. Thanks for the information, I will send you a friend invitation.0
