Do you believe in evolution?

Random thought: Do you think Mother Nature is turning more and more people gay through the decades to help control the population increases? Is it part of evolution or has there always been this many gay people in the world but everyone was in the closet?
Discuss.
Evolution doesn't work that way.
This. Nature doesn't even work that way!
but what about MOTHER nature?

It's happening right now...
Was about to say just when I thought I've seen the dumbest thing on the internet today, I opened this thread.
But these pics pretty much are saying how I feel. Can I be frozen for 500 years because I will be the CEO of Starbuck then!0 -

Evolution is a circle of life. Do you not remember the story of a cub named Simba? If you don't, you've clearly never read Bible and have no room to talk about evolution.
Evolution is right there in the old testiment people! Hercules was a monkey and the reason he had sex with his mother. As per science, it was spartans that were the first to turn humans from monkeys. The science is all there, I don't understand how anyone can deny these facts!.
Please, give science a chance and read about how In Ancient United States of America vampires were hunted to mate with sabertooths to create the superior human beings we see now.
LOL I'm sorry, what?0 -

My, my "ignore user" button is getting a lot of use today.
OP, while your question was a) offensive and b) idiotic, I shall answer. Yes I believe in evolution. There have always been gay people and there will always be gay people. We're just out of our closets and proud to, finally, join society without having to lie or repress who we are.0 -
LMAO perfect.0 -
Can we get this thread locked down now so it can never be traced back to me? Oh the price of entertainment these days. I love everyone...yes even you sad soul who thinks noone loves you. Even you!0

Based on the question, I would have to say that you don't fully understand natural selection.
Read The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins.
The funny thing about natural selection is that there isn't any "selection" going on. There is no Mother Nature that is making decisions on what to do or not do. What happens is by chance, the choice is based on which conditiion is more suitable to the environment.
The question to ask would be what is changing in the environment that makes sexual preference either change or become more visible or more accepted or whatever. If that is the question, then my answer is that we, as a society, are becoming more accepting of it and it is leading to a growth in individuals being honest about who they are.0 -

There have always been homosexual people.
It has nothing to do with population control - I know several gay people who have kids and several people whose birth parents are gay. And no it's not because they were surroogates or the like, they tried living a "normal" life (because that's what was expected or other such circumstances), got married, had kids and then came out years later.0 -
Population control is inherently unlikely, as evolutionary changes require reproductive advantages. Here's an interesting read that includes a number of hypotheses, though -
