Yoga on YouTube...suggestions?

I'm happy to see there are so many full length yoga classes on YouTube, but because there are so many it's hard to know which ones will be good and which a waste of time without actually watching them. I've been practicing for many years, but Id like a variety from beginner for easy days, to more advanced, energetic vinyasa style for days I want to push it. I'd like classes that are at least 40 minutes, 60+ is better.

Any suggestions?

I love yoga zone, but mainly stick to their beginner stuff for deep relaxation. Not sure what their more difficult stuff is like

Thanks for posting this question. I would like to know the answer also. I would fall in to the beginner and very out of shape category.
  • I love Yoga Zone aswell :) I still do the beginner one for weight loss but as with most yoga, the more you put in, the better the result :)

Whole selection there for you :)
  • oh and if you want a harder yoga workout then just youtube Jillian Michaels Yoga Meltdown :) That ones fun!

I love "yoga with a view" with Hilaria Thomas(some say hilaria Baldwin as she's married to one of the Baldwins) (i connect my laptop to my tv and the "views" are amazing!) and anything with Denise Austin. I've been doing Denise Austin's hot body yoga on days when I can't get to the gym. They are probably on the shorter end, most are around 30 mins but you could always do 2 back to back.

I'm excited to see what other people suggest. I'm always looking for new videos myself.

ETA: I also like yogayak and yogatic which has some longer videos.

I checked out yoga zone but those seem to be all under 20 minutes. As for Jillian Michaels...not sure how I feel about that. She's in kick *kitten* shape for sure, but her association with the biggest loser and her seemingly aggressive style are about as anti-yoga a philosophy I can think of. I appreciate the suggestion, don't get me wrong! And I'm sure she's great for others but, I'd like classes that embody the philosophy of yoga and not just the physical aspect.

Lol yeah, I'm picky, I know it. But please, bring on the suggestions!

This looks pretty goods, I like how they overlay the modified versions over the main. And the second video at the pool is fun!

Some of the longer ones from these two look like they have potential, too. Thanks :)

Mark Gonzales has two other full length videos out there - but at a price. They are about the same level and length but equally in depth and interesting. See also his Facebook page. An interesting character; also active in bodyweight and gymanstics.

Reviving this post because OMG how did I not know about this.

Lots of videos, totally free, but I'll be making a donation. I did a 55 minute intermediate class followed by a 20 minute Pilates/yoga fusion core class, and both were fantastic!

  • I really like 'Live Yoga Life'. They have a great variety of style and teachers. I have have actually been taught by two of the teachers and their downloaded classes are just like their real classes.

Pilates.. 18 moves with some repetitions I usually did this for everyday for 30 minutes for weeks and lost 10kg in less than a year (started as a new year's resolution and mellowed)

I am saving this to try later. I've done a few different short yoga vids on youtube so I'm going to look up the yoga zone ones as well. I would like to practice a bit at home before going to an actual class.
