I have been doing 40 minutes of cardio for the last 2 1/2 weeks. I burn 457 calories per day, six days a week.

I am having trouble getting my strength training in because I am exhausted after these workouts. Let me know what you think about this possibility - cardio 3 x per week and strength training 3 x per week. Think I will get better results this way. Comments please.

    many people do it that way, including myself. And the cardio will get easier, too, as you get more fit.

    This is what I have always done. Alternate cardio days with weight days. Weight training increases metabolism because you are burning calories while your muscles are rebuilding!

    Okay, starting next week
    Sun, Tues and Fri will be cardio and Mon, Wed and Thurs will be total body strength training. I will let you know how it's going after one week.

    Yep that's what I do, except I do...

    cardio, weights, cardio, weights, cardio, leg weights, break day

    Because... no one in their right mind can do cardio the day after leg day, LOL.

    I'm currently doing ChaLEAN Extreme. It's 2 days of cardio and 3 days of strength training. I looove it. So I think 3 & 3 would work as well :happy:

    I do 5 days of cardio and 4 days of strength training. Upper body strength 2 x per week and lower body strength 2 x per week, cardio before weight training. My rest day is Saturday.
