My name is Michael, I am 33 years old and want to finally get this weight thing under control. I need to lose about 80lbs to reach goal. I am a big guy, 6'5 and weigh 330lbs. I want to be 250. I put in that my activity level is "light activity" and it says I can eat 2700 calories a day to lose 1 1/2Lbs a week. I guess I need peoples advice on what things you eat when doing this, is any food "off limit"? Would you eat back any of your exercise calories burned? How do you deal with stressful eating? My biggest gripe is eating late at night or waking up to snack on something and then falling back asleep which leads to me not eating breakfast since I am still full from the night before. It's a vicious cycle I need to break. Any help and anybody who wants to add me, my user name is newmike80 Thanks all!

Hello Michael. Fellow tall guy here. I'm new at logging my calories, but I'd be happy to try and help anyway I can. Feel free to add me.

Welcome! My best advice is to start slow, dont deny yourself food. I could never go without chocolate. When you eat try and make healthy choices, if you want something sweet grab some fruit. I see a lot of people fail because they try to change too much too fast. Weight loss is a process if you increase your activity, watch your calorie intake you will lose weight. You can eat back you calories if you want, it really depends if you are hungry. Best of luck! Remember you can do anything.
