NSV – I am rocking a pair of jeans!!

So last night I had a work event (YMCA) and we held a comedy retreat, I wanted to wear something casual but nice so I thought instead of the regular lulu pants I usually wear, that I would try on my jeans that have been in the back of my closet haunting me and scaring me to even go near ha-ha.

I have three pairs that I bought before I started this new lifestyle journey. One pair fit before, snug, but they fit as they had some stretch in them. I fell in love with the way they fit as they come in long (tall ladies, you know what that is like ha-ha so when you find a style that comes in long; you buy it in multiple colours). So that is exactly what I did!!

Unfortunately when I bought the two other pairs, they were different colours and the fabrics were different aka there was no stretch. My DARK DARK denim had tons of stretch hence why they could fit (size 18) yes a bit snug but they did. One other pair was a darker denim but they had only a wee bit of stretch so it was massive muffin top so I would only wear with hoodies and if I was standing as when I would sit it would literally dig into my stomach (you know that feeling ? it’s not the best lol) Then there was this pair I bought on clearance, same style, same length, but very light coloured, and they had absolutely zero stretch and there was NO WAY they were even getting on my body, but I still bought them as they were 8 dollars compared to like 40 and I thought hey, I could just wear them a bit and start to work them in, and they will fit, nope.

Well, last night I cut the tags off the LIGHT coloured jeans and wore them out. Not only did they fit, but they are a bit loose at the waist. The two dark pairs are big on me now, as in I need a belt, and as my hubby said, my butt which he loves, looks a bit saggy ha-ha not the butt though, but the material!! It is loose on my butt and thighs and in the crotch area so they look too big as in I need to go down a size!!!

The one pair that used to fit me is no longer in commission as they are too big and just look silly. I can still wear the one dark pair as they aren’t too too big, but the light coloured ones are so damn comfy, they are still loose but not too loose were it looks like I need new pants.

I was ABSOLUETLY TERRIFIED to try on these jeans again as let’s face it, since I started to get larger and larger and larger, jeans and anything with a button or zipper I kind of forgot about and only bought things that I could pull up and down. Well I am happy to say, I am rocking these light coloured jeans today at work, sitting down in my office chair, and there is no muffin top budging out, no button or zipper digging into my stomach, just pure comfort.
I like jeans again, who knew!! I am so excited!!
