Anybody from DC know of any yummy "healthy" restaurants?

Heading to DC soon for some training and I'll be staying on the base with no kitchen, so I'll be eating out mostly!
BUT I want to keep on track with my diet, so I was hoping some of you might know of some cool, somewhat healthy restaurants in DC? Hopefully ones that are unique to DC and would add to my experience with the area. It's my first time going!

It took some digging through my FaceBook pictures and a little more research but the Greek restaurant I visited with a cousin last year is still there. Zaytinya- they didn't take reservations and we waited quite awhile for a table but it was worth it. Prices were reasonable- not cheap, but wouldn't raise eyebrows on an expense account. They do small plates so you could order one with lean protein and one or two that are heavy on greens. Just go easy on the pita!
This is a timely topic- last week I got an e-mail that at my professional association meeting in Minneapolis in a few weeks, there's a networking-type dinner one night at an upscale chain restaurant (Crave). You have 3 standard entrée choices, a Caesar salad and chocolate layer cake for dessert. It's $75 pp with a cash bar. Umm,, no thanks even though my employer would pick up the cost. I just don't eat like that anymore and, seeing how many of my professional colleagues have "shaped up" as we age, I'm glad I don't.
ETA: no matter where you're staying the DC Metro is about the most modern and friendly I've ever used, so don't be limited by location.0 -
When I worked in Washington, D.C. about a block from the White House some of my favorite downtown restaurants included the Old Ebbitt Grill, Lafayette Restaurant, Tosca Ristorante, DC Coast, Grillfish DC, and The Prime Rib all within walking distance of McPherson Square Metro stop. Good luck with your restaurant search. Now I’m salivating!0

Even in traditional restaurants, you can stay within your calorie goals by ordering a couple of appetizers (one lean protein, one mostly green vegetables) or a lean meat/fish dish and a salad with dressing on the side. If you think the sides such as potatoes or rice may tempt you, tell them to leave it off the plate. It will likely cost the same but you won't end up eating something you didn't want, or having it thrown away. If you like wine, alternate a glass of wine with a glass of water- keeps you from overdoing the alcohol. If you're with a group and they order dessert, enjoy the last of your glass of wine instead.
At my last job I joined a unit that traveled a lot and one woman told me she'd gained 20 lbs. since starting there. I was determined that it wouldn't happen to me. I traveled less than she did and rarely missed a workout day, and I lost weight, Business travel can still be fun and interesting without being fattening.0
