I'm currently on a cutting stage, eating about 1800 cals a day, one cheat meal a week, and hitting the gym doing heavy weights four times a week. Im 6'1 and weigh around 180lbs. I have a decent amount of muscle but also plenty of fat (basically an otterbox for my abs..) My goal is to shed 20lbs of fat and then start a clean bulk. Does 3 months seem like a realistic time span to lose 20lbs?

What is your BF%? I'm the same height as you, and my LBM alone is over 170 lbs. I am a wide-shouldered build, but still....

I have a wide shouldered build as well. Id say my body fats around 23%

Given that it's recommended that loss is 1-2 pounds a week, I think that could be possible. It's a rate on the faster side of average but certainly feasible especially if you're highly active.

I've done 20lbs in 3 months easily when just starting out, but that was going from like 250 to 230... which may be far different than going 180 to 160, even so, I think you could give a pretty good effort and make significant progress, if not get the whole 20.

So basically trying to get down to about 12% BF. That seems a bit aggressive to me, unless you are very very active. Getting down to 15-16% seems a bit more realistic of a goal.
