It's not bad, better than sitting I guess. I would get something like EA Sports Active (whatever version they are on now). I used that a lot in the past and it was a very good workout.

Not... really. Better than sitting? Yes. But you would have to do a decent amount of Wii Boxing to burn any significant amount of calories. You would be better off doing burpees and pushups and stuff.

You would have to be very unfit for that to be your required exercise level. There are people out there, but not many.

you can get away with just flailing away on the sub 1000's level, but after that, too much strategy and you'll probably be limiting your workout.

My first year, I did Wii boxing an hour a day every day. Lost about 70lbs. I loved it. I would do it now, but the kids monopolize the game systems.

Like anything else if you put enough effort in it would be good try it with a heart rate monitor better if you use the fit board so you can duck and dive!

With starting the C25K, and knowing your goal next September, I would walk on your in between days. Building a great base for running is the key point. Walking will help with soreness, and strengthening tendons along your lower legs. Walk a nice brisk pace either for time or for distance. What's great is you can grab that dual stroller and take the kiddo's along for your walk as well.

Being from Sconny, you are facing what I am here in Minny! Outdoor walking season is over for 6 months.

Not in my neighborhood. Seriously there are people walking and running all year long.

Maybe try a home workout, while not as fun as a WII, might prove useful with some strength training.

I'm going to add my vote to Active, it can be pretty easy and it can be hard. I usually add extra wights to get an extra umpfh.

If you enjoy boxing, and can afford to spend a few hundred, get ahold of a ps3 with two move controllers and "The Fight". You'll get a hard-core workout with that.
