Running friends?

I became dedicated to running in March of this year. I've always had to run for sports the past 8 years and since my college field hockey career was almost over I needed to find something that I would enjoy just as much.
Before running was more of a punishment and something to do to get in shape for the field.
In April I started Hal Higdon's intermediate 5k plan and loved it. My first race was on June 1st and I fell in love with racing and running culture (is that the right way to phrase it?).
I then completed HH beginner 10k plan and ran a 10k at the end of August with a Color Me Rad and another 5k thrown in there.
Running went from a punishment to one of my favorite things to do. It's so awesome to go out and run 4 miles rather than be forced to do sprints over and over again.
I'm looking to do a half-marathon late spring 2014.
I'm just looking for more people who use MFP to chat running with :]

I'm a pretty new runner but am always up for running friends. I just completed C25K, have two 5Ks coming up soon, and am starting training for a 10K this week. Eventually I hope to run half marathons and marathons.0

Just wanted to let you know that there are many thriving adult field hockey teams around. My daughter's high school coaches still play and they are in their 30s. If you love the sport, you should be able to find a way to keep playing.0

Been running for like two years. First just to burn some cals and lose weight, I could not run for 10 min straight without stopping and I hated running, but now I like it. No intention to run marathons or half marathons tho, I prefer 10k races. Currently training to run 10k under 50 minutes and once that's done I will shoot for 10k under 45 and 39 min.0

There are indoor leagues about 45- hour away from me during the fall and summer. It's an easy drive but can have pretty bad traffic. I'm gonna be involved if work permits. Thanks for the encouragement :]0
