Skipping?

Hi Everyone,
At the moment i've got a big exam coming up for work so i'm basically getting in and doing as much work as I can for it. It puts a hold on me going to the gym on a weeknight as i only really have 4/5 hours spare once getting in from work, and taking 2/2.5 hours out to get to the gym (it takes about 20 minutes to travel there, 20 minutes back, then shower etc!) and with housework etc, I can't get enough time to sit down and do the work i need to.
I can go to the gym of a weekend but I was thinking of maybe buying a skipping rope and doing 10 minutes or so after every 45 minutes of revision? Is it an effective thing to do? Or would a home workout plan be more effective?
I just want to do something as my usual trick is to just not do any exercise and all and use the exams as an excuse.
Any suggestions would be welcome
it's only for about 3 or 4 weeks, but I have 5 or so exams to do so i'll be having this problem often.
Thanks!

I know the feeling, when doing my exams for work it is a killer trying to find time for it. What are you studying?
I like the idea of skipping, and boxers prove it is a good work out so why not give it a try?0 -
Skipping is great excersize! It burns a lot of calories in a short time too. Just watch out for your knees as skipping is hard on them!0
