Need a buddy-anyone else an average joe?

Severely lacking in motivation and need someone for support. I am "average size" and "average weight" and the doctor says im at my "comfortable weight". Im not having that. I have gained a stone over the years as my lifestyle has changed. No more walking to school, extra activities, office job, shoulder injury stopped me doing intense dance classes and boxing training.

I'm just thinking about food every moment of the day and struggle to get off the sofa and go for a walk!

Anyone else feel like this? Not really doing anything bad but not doing a lot of good either?

  • The best thing to do is to just start. Once you start and finish it you will feel so much better and then you will want to do it again. Before you know it, it will be a good healthy habit. Try something new like bike riding, roller blading, running, jogging, or like you said just go for a walk. You have already made the first step of accepting and acknowledging that you don't have the mind set or energy to get up and go. Now you just got to make the decision to get up and do it.

    I am with you...need big MOTIVATION. I cant figure it out, I look in the mirror with disgust but yet I never follow through. I need to get out of this rut. I KNOW I will feel 100% better if I gain the muscle I lost and just lose 15-20 pounds. I need some good SIMPLE meal ideas for breakfast,lunch and dinner...easy ones so I will do it.
