I need help

So New Years resolution was to go back to the gym and get in shape.
January to August lost approx. 10kg. I'm am very pleased about this.
Diet was approx. 2000 kcal. Day.
Sunday 3000 kcal.
Gym was approx 3-5 times per week.
1 hour intense training.
Cardio 1-2 x per week.
I didn't really count calories or track progress so much.
Now I am at around 12% BF coming from around 25%.
I aim to get below 9% BF.

The problem is I've been fluctuating weight between 72kg-74kg for the past 2-3 months.
I've upped my game also.
5 x week 1 hour intense training followed by 15-20 min cardio with 3 HIIT intervals.
1 x Muay Thai session week approx. 1 hour intense (lots of sweat).
So 6 x week training.
My muscles don't seem to grow also, I'm just staying the same.
Calories are 1800-2100 per day.
Sunday 2000-3000 kcal.

Please help me.. I feel stuck.

  • weight loss can plateau, you just have to be persistant.

if youve been doing your routine for more than 6 weeks then i'd say change it up a bit. different kinds of cardio.

also its very hard to build muscle whilst on a deficit. weight lifting now will just maintain what you have.

and it gets harder as you get to your goal weight

how long have you been stuck?
  • Thanks,
    Probably 6 weeks.

I agree - change up your routine and also try eating more. If you're eating at a deficit it will be harder to lose weight + gain muscle. If your goal is the get bigger muscles then perhaps you should focus on maintaining weight now. Do you take supplements? Have you ever thought of trying Shakeology?
