The great bread switch of 2010

Options
When I first started in 2009, I discovered sandwich thins. I started eating them for everything. Sandwiches, burgers, even pizza crust at one point. I had them for breakfast with my peanut butter. I had them with my sandwich for lunch. If I could sleep with them, I would have.

Yesterday as I was browsing the bread aisle, my eyes wondered. It's true. I missed sliced bread. I didn't realize how much I missed sliced bread until I noticed myself wondering toward the loafs. I found a Mrs Baird's loaf that had 50 calories per slice and decided that I would give it a shot.

Dear God, why have I deprived myself this entire year of this yumminess? I just had a turkey sandwich that wasn't made with a sandwich thin. It was SO good.

Sandwich thins will still be used (and abused) with burgers, but my turkey sandwiches get a nice treat now...some good ole' fashion bread.

That is all.

I alternate between sandwich thins and Sara Lee 45 Calories & Delightful 100% Multi-Grain bread, as the name suggests it's 45 calories a slice. I usually have two slices with my soups at lunch time.

I love Dave's Killer Bread! It's made by a recovered convict and it's organic. It has 110 cals per slice, but the slices are HUGE so I usually just use one for a whole sandwich!

I have also heard that Rye bread packs the most punch for the calories. It is supposed to make you feel full longer than any other bread, and is supposed to be relatively low in cals. I love a good turkey pastrami reuben on rye!!!

Don't deprive yourself, Lina!! I like Thomas 100% Whole Wheat English Muffins :] Also, bagel thins or just cut your bagels into 3 slices and just use the outside.

the sandwich thins are 100 cals per roll anyways so might as well have a regular sandwich w natures own 100% whole wheat bread 50cals a slice same cal count if u use 2. i woudl those sandwich thins all the time they still good but not any lower in calories if i just use the other bread. and i can do an open face sandwich which would be even less calories.
