Healthy Habits one at a time buddy

hi there,

So I read somewhere that in order to make a healthy lifestyle stick we need to change one habit and stick to it for a week or two before adding in another healthy habit.

I wanted to know if people would like to add me and we can each share one habit we want to be accountable for til the end of October and we can post on our status to keep accountable. Let me know ;)

My healthy habit that I want to take up is Have a protein shake daily for breakfast.

    For the rest of October I want to focus on only eating when I am hungry and stopping when I get full.

    I'm In... for the rest of October I am going to do some form of exercise daily (this means the weekends too). I refuse to gain back what I have lost! I AM NOT giving up this time!!!

    This is SO the way to go! I don't have many unhealthy habits left (I've been at this for about 3 years), but giving up something, dealing with it, getting comfortable and moving on it is the best way to lose the weight and keep it off.

    Great thread...I wish everyone good luck on adopting a healthy habit before Nov. 1st!

    Oh yeah, building healthy habits works! One at a time, is especially helpful when change seems overwhelming. I'll have to figure out what change I'd like to make.

    Rats - I only made 14k yesterday - felt really yucky in the afternoon and took 2 naps - felt much better after the second and did walk to the produce market to get in some steps...off to the treadmill shortly.... We can do this!
