Ill start off with Rage Against the Machine, Bad Brains, Fugazi, Black Flag, Metallica, Parkway Drive, The Used, Pantera, Tool, 30 Seconds to Mars, Reign Supreme, Trapped Under ice, Death Threat, Sepultura, Soundgarden, NIN.....

I listen to a lot of music which is mostly Indie, Electro-pop and rap as well but most of that doesn't move me. I will admit Passion Pit, Yeasayer, Vampire Weekend, Hot Chip, Dan Deacon, Edward Sharpe and Mumford & sons you can catch me listening to when I am not in the gym.

I think it depends what im doing- typically I run to music (strength train with TV reruns in my room) so anything that hits the rhythm I am running at is really what gets me going. This morning my running song was Eye of the Tiger and it made me feel very 80s montage, but I think that's a good thing :-). My overall music tastes are a little bit peppier in sound, Green Day, Blink 182, a couple of Panic! songs, Nerf Herder has some really strong rhythm songs (they almost sound like marching in the background) and theres 2 smaller bands- The Argument and Caffiene that really get me going. Aaaand my bf totally laughs at me for the randomness of it but Seether really gets my *kitten* in gear.

Loving most of these, except Metallica. Going to have to look up a few to see if they're any good. Thought I'd bump this to remind myself.

I love Rage Against the Machine and Dope as well, plus a bit of The Prodigy.
  • I always love it when I meet (or see posts from) people who know who Fugazi is!
  • Depending on what I'm doing, but there's a lot of Bullet For My Valentine, Volbeat, Dragon Force, and Paramore. And of course for dancing I put on some Michael Jackson, Pink, and the occasional Drum & Bass.

Currently my cardio albums of choice are PvD Politics of Dancing 1 and 2 ... It's better when I am on my hike then on the elliptical but I use it for both. For weight training I have been listening to the Recovery CD (Eminem).

  • Point of Grace / How You Live
This whole album motivates me to focus on thanking God for the ability to move my body and dance and sing and think positively about all the challenges and experiences I go through every day.

Listen HARD, work HARDER!! ;-) ...so, I play anything from Disturbed, some Puddle of Mudd, the harder ones from Linkin Park, and the harder/faster Nickelback tunes (save the ballads for stretching or cooldown).
