I don't even know if I am determined this time..but I know that I need to make a change. How does one make this happen? I need to lose at least 30 pounds so that I can feel healthy again. I am 40..and don't know if I can even accomplish this.

Of course you can but you have to want to make a change. I found the mental part to be the hardest. Eating smaller portions and getting active wasn't that difficult. Kicking my own butt so I continued when things didn't always go my way was harder. Start with small steps. Go for a walk a walk every day and get in at least 30 minutes. Drink more water, reduce your portion size. Limit how often you eat out.0

Anyone can accomplish anything. The great thing is, for most people, our bodies are the one thing in life that we do have control of. We can look like sexy fitness models if thats what we want or we can be soft and fluffy. Its all up to us and how hard we work! Im in for the whole sexy fitness model part...Ive tried the soft and fluffy and im looking for something new this go round...
Im 5'2. 150. I am on 1450-1550 cals per day. I eat the best i can but that doesnt mean its clean. I run and lift and do turbofire(loveit)0 -

One step at a time.. you decide within yourself that losing weight is going to be an important part of you future.. decide upon a calorie goal.. and do your best to maintain that goal.. get a good support system on here and in real life.. start exercising slowly.. add weight lifting if you want.. drink a ton of water.. limit your sodium.. it's all up to you how you want to achieve all of this, but just find a way that works best for you personally, and stick with it.. slowly build your willpower up over time and you'll find it get easier and easier. That's what has worked for me so far. All of it requires willpower and determination though.0 -
Tackle the problem while you're 40 with only 30 pounds to lose. Why wouldn't you be able to accomplish it? If you want it, you can have it.0

Take it slow and one step at a time. Just log this week. Nothing else. Then cut 100 cals/day for next week. Add in a 20 minute walk every other day the week after that. Then.... Before you know it, and without feeling deprived, you will be well on your way!
Also, so that you don't get bogged down in all of the details and misinformation, read this to find a proper goal, calorie level, macros etc. Take as long as you need to to get those levels. Just do it!
