Ok, I thought I was somewhat fit, but after 2 days of Insanity, I am not! Will it get better? If I can't do everything, but at least try, am I doing it right? Anyone else out there that just started and can support each other?

Yeah! I'm on my 2nd week of Insanity and it's tough. The fitness test was hell, and I was shocked that it was as hard as it is. It's like Marine boot camp, basketball, and football training all in one.
The good thing is, I feel myself getting stronger. And I think you will too.
Hang in there!0 -
Insanity is well, insane I needed to keep with it for about 15 ish days until it got "better." I couldn't do everything and I couldn't keep up with Shaun T (or Tanya:grumble: ) but I kept going with all of the exerices even if I was slower than what his count was. Either way you're getting your heart rate up and getting your sweat on. Keep givin 'er hell!!:drinker:0

Ha ha- it will get better! About 3 weeks in- I could actually get through the workouts without having to pause the DVD. Aaaand then, Month 2 starts and you feel like you're starting all over again ;-) Just keep pushing through!0

I also just started on 10/21, I finished Day 4 this morning (God Bless the Cardio Recovery!)...and even today, I had to take pauses during the squat and lunge sections. I'm a bigger girl, so realistically, I cannot do every move, but I make modifications and keep moving while their moving. I'm trying my damnedest, and I am dripping in sweat throughout the entire workout. But shockingly, though every muscle in my body is sore, they are not SOO sore that I cannot do it again the next morning. It's hard to wake up and think about working out so intensely, but I am always so grateful I did. If you need any motivation, shoot me a message, we can motivate each other.
Happy Day 4!0 -
Hahaha... yes! It will get better. I did Day 1 yesterday, and I didn't almost barf! WINNING! I'll be doing the whole program, but a little bit slower than the guide. I'm an instructor and I refuse to double an insanity workout with anything! LOL
If you want any encouragement, you can friend me... unless you only eat 1200 calories... then you can't  :laugh:0 -
I'm on day 3 and not following the meal plan. I am however eating MUCH better and even cutting out bread and rice on most days. I need some friends who are going through this Insanity experience as well ^_^0

It gets better. As you develop more and become fitter, you will find it enjoyable and easier. I am on my last day of week 3 and am astonished by the improvement of my health and fitness in these past 3 weeks! Keep up the good workouts and try to stay motivated!0

I'm on my last 2 days of Insanity so I can tell you that it is really reaaallyyy tough so you should congratulate yourself for every effort you put in taking the time to do those workouts. I used to beat myself up sometimes for taking too many breaks and would work myself to the point of injury (had to take several days off to a pulled muscle) so all the advice I'd impart on you is you are capable of more than you think and always listen to your body first .
Take breaks if you can't. There is nothing wrong with it. Hell the people in the videos are ripped as and still take multiple breaks. And trust me, even though you may feel like you are dying every time you finish, you'll realise how much stronger you get every week!
Good luck and dig deeper :happy:0 -
I am starting insanity next week! I am also starting a insanity challenge group on facebook if anyone is interested let me know!0

Add me for support0 -
I'm on Round 2 week 4 Insanity is seriously addictive! It gets better (in the sense that you don't have to lie on the floor for 30 minutes after each workout - yes, that happened to me on a number of occasions!) but it never gets easy. It just makes you feel 10x more amazing and 100x more badass than you've ever felt before!
Follow the plan, make sure you take your rest days and take a break during the workouts when you need to. Don't be too discouraged if the number on the scale doesn't change much. I only lost 1lb or so during round 1 month 1 but I looked so much better in the mirror. Take measurements and use these as your progress marker - and take photos!!0
