What do you want to know? MFP will give you your calorie goal. Eat that number of calories. You'll do better if you choose lean meat, veggies, fruit, whole grains, low-fat dairy. Build in some treats so you don't feel deprived. That's pretty much it. Log everything.
  • I lost weight with http://womens-weightloss.com.

Also, do cardio and strength trainingg. You will lose weight.

You've come to the right website. MFP will help you set up your diet plan. You need to count calories and you can do it here. Count what you take in though food and drink, and what you burn doing exercises. The app is amazing. You choose your own food, and you really can choose anything. It is smart to choose healthy options. Let the program set your initial calorie targets. As you lose weight MFP will reduce the number of calories you are allowed. Starting too low can derail your ability to diet.

My best strategy is to use measuring devices to ensure that my portions are appropriate, to eat the good food I've always enjoyed and cut back on junk. We bought a food scale and measuring devices to help us with portion control. I use a digital food scale that I bought from Amazon for a reasonable price, and dishers like those used in restaurants. They look like ice cream scoops. I have 1/4 cup, 1/3 cup and 1/2 cup. We found these at a local restaurant supply place. You can also order online. We have always made healthy choices in food, but ate too much. (You CAN have too much of a good thing.) We have also stopped eating a few trigger foods like potato chips. DH and I have been doing this together and provide moral support to each other.

Cardio exercise is a huge help in this process. Walking is an excellent choice, as is riding a bike and swimming. All are easy on joints. I also take a yoga class, but DH does not. Neither of us likes to swim. Many here advocate weight training in addition to cardio. I would start with the cardio and add the weight training as fitness improves. I am not a medical expert. Talk this over with your doctor if you have health concerns.

    Good luck to you.:flowerforyou:
