Hey Everyone!!!
I thought it was finally time to post a picture!!! I started my weightloss at 192 last year and have now officially lost 40 pounds!!!!!
Since losing the weight I have participated in two 5ks and one 10k. :noway: My next goal is to run a half-marathon!!! I honetly never thought I'd be THAT person. You know...the one that runs "races". It till kinda blows my mind.
I still have 25ish pounds to lose but to be completely honest...if I never lose another pound I'd still be happy. I'm the smallest I've ever been since reaching puberty and I love how I look now. I may be 20 pounds overweight (still) but I've never felt more beautiful than I do now.:blushing:
I've also never tried to post pictures so I appologize if I screw it up.

Can you give me any tips on becoming a runner?! I have NEVER been able to run more than a couple of minutes! Bad shin splints are one on the problems~0 -
Skinny and a runner. Wow. I try and not run unless I am being chased by a large predator.0

I saw your pics and you do look great. Congrats on your races!!! Keep up the good work I know you are feeling great about yourself. I'm new to this site and i've really been working hard for about 4 months now to reach my goal of 150lbs. I started @ a huge 241lbs. I have about 50 more to lose...Staying motivated is the key!!!!!! I'm loving this site.0

THANK YOU!!!!!!
Well, honestly, I just kept running. I'm a sloooow runner and when I started I couldn't go for a few miles either. But the next day I ran again and again. I usually just added 30 seconds or 1 min to my run. I didn't start looking at my milage until I hit 20 min. But it took me about two months of continuous running to get to that point.
I've never actually had a shin splint but I do know it's usually related to your shoes. Make sure you go to a professional and have him look at your feet, how you walk, and how you run. You could do it yourself but you could go through a few shoes first before you find a pair that works for you.0
