Time to change once and for all with no more excuses

Ok so this evening I've chosen to make the change once and for all. My trouble is...... I'm an emotional eater. You know the moment you feel like crap and then you crave food, then feel guilty! and then it all repeats it's self!!
Plus you then know you have a problem when you start hiding and sneaking food!!!!! I've even made my self sick sometimes through guilt (but this is not a regular habit).
I know what I need to do, and seem to do so well for a week or so, then if something upsets me I'm off again.
I know it's organisation with food, and introducing exercise into my daily life style but why is it so dam hard to do!

It would be great to make some buddies on this site, so please add me as I know it will help to chat with people who feel the same way

My own experience makes me think: once an emotional eater, always an emotional eater. You can try to convince yourself you're not, or accept it. I'm an emotional eater, usually associated with stress. I get that hopeless feeling, dwell on it, then dismiss everything and go dig for junk food.

So get the junk out and surround yourself with healthier choices. Lower calorie alternatives, fruits, candies that have some sort of nutritional value. Lessen the damage. It's amazing what one of those chocolate chip protein bars can do to kill cravings. But if you do go crazy with calories (or whatever), dismiss it and move on. It's normal, we all do it, it's ok. Letting yourself have daily favorites that fit within your calorie goal really helps.

A daily exercise routine is another matter. I use my routine to burn off stress so do it after work. Me not finding an hour each day to get into better shape is completely unacceptable. I'm not always in the mood to work out, but always feel better when moving and am happy I did it afterwards. Make it part of your life. Learn how to turn your emotions into workout energy. It works!

    Good luck!
