Sorry for the question. Newbie here. I have 250 calories left. I am going to work out. Say I burn 300 calories. Do I then eat 550 or do I stick to the 250 count. I have heard both. Some say don't eat back your calories. is that what they mean? Again sorry for the dumb question.

If you let MFP calculate your caloric goals, then yes- eat back your exercise calories as the deficit is already built in. Do bear in mind that MFP estimates of calories burned may be high. If you aren't using a HRM, you may want to try eating back 50-75%0

What ever works for you.. I don't eat them and I still lose weight.. If that stops working then I will try and eat them.. It's really up to you.. Try one way and if it doesn't work then try the other way.0

If you're close to your goal weight (within 15 pounds) eat them back; but when I have more to lose, I like the extra burn and faster loss when I don't eat them back. Contrary to what a lot of people say on here, you will not die if you don't eat them back.0
