It actually makes me hungrier at first. But it goes away pretty fast. It does not suppress my hunger at all  .

As someone else stated: any liquid should help you suppress hunger.

The only thing you should worry about with coffee is that tea/coffee (caffeine in general) will inhibit some vitamins and minerals.

No, but I eat three good-sized meals per day so I am not really looking for or needing an appetite suppressant. My meals are enough to keep me satisfied until the next meal.

I think it does to a certain extent, but I can't say for sure. Last year, before I started changing up my diet, I could easily have just a coffee for breakfast and not feel hungry through the morning, but I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work that way for me now! But if I get a bit peckish mid-morning and can't grab a snack, a long black usually tides me over until lunch.

Right now no...when I'm not PMSing it will curb my desire for anything sweet at night if its a good flavorful coffee with a nice creamer in it. One cup is only about 70 calories and makes a great dessert.

Any warm drink suppresses hunger for a little bit for me. I like to drink tea, keeps me full but doesn't get me wired. :)
