Cold Weather Running Tips?

I am on week 2 of the C25K and the weather just started getting pretty cool here in the mid-Atlantic. I've never enjoyed cardio outside during the colder months because the air temp always made my nose/throat/chest hurt. However I have decided to conquer my distain and have registered for my first 5K on Dec. 8th and want to do another on Dec 21st. Any experienced runners have any tips for surviving the cold? TIA!
