I'm planning on doing a 1 month "sugar free challenge" at work and am in need of a salad dressing that doesn't have any added sugar or any sugar substitutes. I'm willing to make it myself if necessary. Anyone have suggestions?

Search greek yogurt dressing recipes or use plain cottage cheese. When I add cottage cheese and tuna or shrimp or chicken tomy salad I don't even need dressing. It isn't "sugar free" per se because it is dairy so it contains lactose which is a natural sugar but it doesn't have added or artificial sugars.

I just mix mustard, balsamic vinegar, and olive oil together. Personally, I use horseradish mustard. Mmm.

Here's my go to vinaigrette. You can substitute any kind of vinegar or use lime or lemon juice, and add any herbs/spices you want:

    Vinaigrette for the Week

    1 Tbsp balsamic vinegar
5 Tbsp sherry or red wine vinegar
    salt to taste
    1 Tbsp Dijon mustard
    1/3 cup olive oil
1/3 cup vegetable (or any other) oil
    2 garlic cloves, minced
1/3 cup yogurt, or additional olive oil

Whisk together vinegars, salt and mustard. Whisk in 1/3 cup each olive and vegetable oils. Transfer to a container and add the last 1/3 cup of yogurt or oil and shake well. Refrigerate. Will last a couple of weeks.

    Makes 1 cup
