im pretty sure its for legs but also for abs. there's a stand at the gym you can do dips on, but theres also a cusion you can put your back on and do these kind of knee or leg lifts. i can't find the name of it but there are machines that do the same thing, i just kind of like this one better. does anyone know what i'm talking about? is it basically leg lifts without a machine?

I'm not an expert, but since no one has chimed in, I will. I'm guessing it's a dual purpose thing that can be used for arm dips, or for leg raises. When you do it with leg raises, it should be a great ab workout. You can either lift your legs straight to horizontal, or lift them up into a tuck-like position.

Perhaps a lifting junkie will chime in, but I used to use what you're talking about and really liked it.

Also, if there's a trainer at your gym, I'm sure he/she would be happy to give you some pointers about it, even without a scheduled training session. Similar to everything, it would be good to make sure your form is correct.

roman chair... the lower back one is also referred to a roman chair.

You can do dips and knee/leg raises on it- mine at the gym also has a pull up bar on it.

Why don't you just ask someone AT THE GYM?? Then you can point at the machine and everything. And it's exercise, not excercize.

Its hard to go up to someone and ask questions?
