polar watch anyone?

I'm thinking of getting one. They look cool
The t4 I believe tells the time date has an alarm counts calories burned and tells your heart rate right?
Someone is selling there's brand new for 60 bucks. Should I get it or there's better ones for around 100 $??

I recently bought a FT60 which I find great. Compared with the F4 it has some interesting features like own zone metering, calculation of % of fat in total calories spend, training programs based your goals (weight loss, improve fitness, etc.), and capacity to use accessories like a data link (transfer data do computer), foot pod (measure your distance and cadence) or GPS. If you can't stretch your budget go with the F4. I found that having a HR monitor is highly motivating.

There are so many options, bells, and whistles, it is difficult to decide what you actually want. I found a few pages helpful in search of a Polar monitor, and I'll share the links here.

a basic rundown of Polar models: http://www.heart-rate-monitor-specialist.com/polar-heart-rate-monitors.html

    select based on feature: http://www.polar.com/us-en/products

    detailed comparison: http://www.healthchecksystems.com/polarcompare.htm

Edit to add my purchase: I bought an FT7 brand new for $75

bought and FT7 a few weeks ago and like it. Will probably look at upgrading in a year as whilst it's good, it could be better.

How do you guys feel about the Polar Loop? Looks like it will be a great product, like a Fitbit with a heart rate monitor (but not altimeter)

I have a wahoo blue. Not a watch one, but it bluetooths straight to your iPhone. You can choose from a huge range of apps to use with it. I use digifit as my workouts are all classes and that suited me best, but there are lots of running and cycling ones.

It's poop. I bought one and it fell apart as soon as I took it out the box. Springs flew all over the place and I couldn't find one of the screws. When I called customer service, they told me that maybe *I* broke it and they wouldn't replace it. How rude.

I love my FT4. I use my Garmin for GPS when I run but I always go back to my Polar for general exercise.
