Lox Help

HI Friends,

My campus dining hall has a to-go box service: you can fill your reusable box with whatever you want from the dining hall. I got some lox to put on my salad. I measured it at 2.5 oz on my food scale, and then ate. (Yummy salad with beets and artichoke hearts and lemon!)

But when I went to go log, lox ran anywhere from 83 to 298 calories for 2.5 oz. Yikes! Thats a big difference. I have no idea what brand of lox this is (although Sodexo is our food service provider). Any ideas about how I should log it?

Your dining hall has lox?! I went to the wrong university!! We were excited when we had the omelet bar on the weekends!

I looked up lox and salmon sashimi (because what is lox but salted and herbed raw salmon, right) and I see a calorie range of about 120-125 for 3 oz. Does that sound about right?

I also need lox help because I love it and cannot stop eating it! :( I had a really close Jewish friend in high school, and his mother got me hooked on it. lol.

We have it on Sundays at our Kosher section (We are very lucky students!) That does sound about right.
