Day 4 and my co-worker is already putting my willpower to the test! I got to work this morning and what is sitting on my desk? 6 mouth watering, delicious looking chocolate chip cookies. WHYYYYY??? So far I haven't given in to the temptation. I just keep asking myself "how will eating the cookies benefit me?" Answer: Very short term satisfaction followed by an entire day of regret. I gave all but 1 of them back to her. I have allowed myself desert at the end of the day if I am under my calories that day. So if today follows the trend of the beginning of the week, I may allow myself part of the cookie (These things are MASSIVE)

Does anyone have any willpower they would like to share?!

This week I posted Cookie Monster and my picture because I wanted him to eat all of the cookies I was craving.

Good for you that you gave them away but kept one for yourself. Sometimes, too much deprivation only leads to a big splurge. Moderation is the key.

You don't need out will power...you found it within yourself already.

    Perfect!!!:flowerforyou:
  • Just keep up with the mental fortitiude. It is easier as you go along and won't always be this hard. I was in your position during the first week, but it was a HUGE container of fries from Chic-fil-a. A coworker had gotten us all a large fry as a surprise/snack. I just kept thinking of the old addage "A moment on the lips, forever on the hips!" LOL! You can do this, and the fact that you gave the cookies back shows that you already have! Keeping the one shows respect to your friend and also gives you your reward at the end of the day without over-indulging. I take one day every 7-10 days to eat a "normal" dinner without worrying about calories. This keeps me from feeling deprived! We're all rooting for you!
