Working out before breakfast

I am not sure to put this topic here or with food and nutrition, but here is the deal.
I do NOT like breakfast. I usually just don't feel ready to eat in the morning, but I know it's very important, so I should.
The thing is, I also bike to school for about 5 km, which I would then do on an empty stomach, and then I eat something like two hours later.
Should I really set myself to eat breakfast or would this be better since I am doing exercise on an emptry stomach?

I had the best luck when I had something small in the morning. Maybe a 1.2 banana, or a rice cake with peanut butter, or a protein shake. Then I 'd do my workout, and eat something more substantial afterwards (oatmeal, or a yogurt with granola) afterwards0

I am the same exact way! I do NOT like breakfast! This is what I do when I work out in the mornings before work. I eat a banana about 45-1hr. before I work out. After my workout, I make a protein smoothie within 30-45 mins. after my workout. Sipping the smoothie is easy, as I don't feel like I'm really "eating" breakfast. GREAT smoothie recipe below! It tastes like a chocolate milk shake...seriously!!
Chris Powell's Protein Smoothie
1 cup unsweetened vanilla Almond Milk
1 overly ripe banana, small
1 scoop chocolate protein powder (whey, soy, whatever you prefer)
1 TBS PB2
1 tsp. chia seeds (I added this to Chris's recipe)
7 ice cubes
Throw all ingredients into a Nutribullet or blender and blend til smooth.

If you don't like breakfast, don't have breakfast.
In regards to exercising on a full stomach, that's a personal preference.0 -
Do what works for you. I didn't eat breakfast before exercising for a long time, and had great results. After starting Insanity I had to start eating something to prevent dizziness mid-workout, but if you have no problems then do what you want!0

It strictly comes down to personal preference when it comes to meal frequency.... Do whatever you need to do for adherence and making sure you hit your daily caloric intake and macro's...... Best of Luck0

Whatever you're comfortable with. I do 90% of my workouts (running 10k or cycling 25k or lifting weights) before breakfast.0 -
Don't like breakfast? Don't eat it. Forget the "breakfast is the most important meal" rule you grew up on or "you must eat before working out."
I train fasted 90% of the time and love it....usually about 12-14 hours into my fast so my tummy is really empty. It hasn't hindered my progress in regards to fat loss or strength gain or body recomposition.
However, this morning, I decided to have two huge bowls of Apple Jacks prior to working out, then I felt like crap about an hour after I got finished. I knew eating those sugary, delicious circles early was a bad idea but they were just too good!0 -

Listen to your body. I just don't feel hungry until about 4 hours after I wake up usually and always work out before breakfast. I don't know how much I buy into the "breakfast is the most important meal of the day" hype. Usually it's people trying to sell a diet or breakfast food that say that.0
