Oh I thought my diary was open. Please help with this...I am 5 ft tall, 160 lbs...bmr..Dont remember but doc says I am obese!! I am 45 years old, my goal weight is 120lbs, and doc says it should be at 110lbs. I started the low carb diet about 8 years ago and lost allot of weight. The weight is coming back on now. I think because the diet I was on slowed my metabolism, and had no portion control. I really wanted to eat normal again but at the same time lose weight. Seeing the great success on this site gave me so much inspiration. I actually did lose 3lbs in the first week, and that came back! So I am sitting at 0 weight loss.
You need a new Doctor.. for reals
Why? 110 at 5 feet tall is reasonable.
110 is reasonable at 5'. I'm just saying 150 at 5' is reasonable too.
..... I'm 4'11 and 149 pounds currently, and still in the overweight bf% 150 at 5' is NOT reasonable, unless you like being chunky and not in great shape...
OP just keep tweaking things a little bit until you figure out exactly what you need to go, good luck with everything! If you'd like, you can friend me, I don't eat clean by any means and we're around the same height and close in weight.0 -

I am 5ft and 119lbs and I get 1280 cals a day now (down from 1350 when I started). I was wondering whether you might have too high expectations and clicked the 2lbs a week loss and perhaps a less restrictive goal would work better for you.
I used to use measuring cups (or estimate) for all my vegetable and only weigh high calorie items and I logged consistently 1100 cals a day. I was losing, but just for fun I started weighing everything and all of a sudden I started logging 1350 a day. So clearly my cups and estimates were totally off. I also started to either use the recipe builder or itemised logging and I got a much better idea what I was actually eating.
