660 days on MFP.....44 lbs lost....10 to go!

I guess that old saying is true...the last 10 pounds are the hardest to lose!

So today is my 660th day on MFP, logging every day...counting my calories, exercising 6 times a week (mostly - sometimes more sometimes less)...I have lost and kept off 44 pounds...but have yet to reach my elusive goal of 155 lbs. I have definately slacked off some on the quality of food that I'm eating lately, and need to kick into gear on drinking more water...I know what to do now....just need some motivation to do it!!

  • your current success is amazing. that is motivation in and of itself. and exercising 6 times a week--wow. you can do it. just keep slow and steady as you reach goal. Have you recalculated your TDEE or MFP calories from time to time as you have lost weight? I assume you have as you clearly know what you are doing. congrats and good luck.

Amazing progress with the weight loss. Now you only have 10lbs to go! And that 10 lbs is probably going to cling on for dear life. BUT it WILL come off, and then you will have totally reached your goal. Keep doing what you are doing, no matter what, and it will happen. I have about 10-15 to go. I already see some results from the 1st 20, and sometimes I slack off because I get bored or tired, or just plain settle. I think it is because I have been stuck on the same 3 up and down lbs for a few weeks now and it gets frustrating, but the scale is not going back up to my original numbers and that is motivation in itself. Just think how you will feel when you do reach your goal. It will be awesome. Plus you will be able to say YOU DID IT!!!! You did not give up. Just be patient, and it will be worth it.

First Congrats on your success thus far! I have 20 lbs to go and I found that though the first 36 came off really easy, this last 20 is hanging on for dear life. I gain and lose the same 4 pounds weekly. So I recalculated my MFP weight loss goal to 1/2 a pound a week instead of 1. It will be slower coming off, however I will be able to stick to a calorie goal that is closer to my ultimate maintenance amount more easily. Not sure if you have done anything like that but you should look at it. It may help. This week I did not gain that four pounds... so win for me!

Thank you! I have recalculated my calories multiple times...sometimes up and sometimes down...depending on where I was weight wise at the time...when I get stuck for a few weeks, I'd usually try to cut back a little on the food intake and ramp up the cardio some...but that hasn't been doing it lately...just kinda stuck right now! :ohwell:
