hello everyone. first off i know one cannot spot any areas for weight loss. Its been 3 months and just from dieting, ive managed to lose 16lbs. the only reason why i even started to diet was because i have a pregnant looking belly that i want to get rid of. everywhere else in my body is fine, its just that stubborn belly fat. often times i think i just want lipo to get it all sucked out, but scared of the recovery. so today i am in a funk and some reason started to think that no matter what i do, ill always have this belly. can someone share some advice please?

Start lifting heavy and continue on your weight loss journey!! Mine is still bigger than I want but that's the area I'm sure to lose it last. I've lost over 30 lbs and it still isn't flat. Keep up the great weight loss!0

Um...lift heavy and eat at a calorie deficit. You're welcome.0

16 pounds is so good! You lost it with just dieting so just think of what the results will be with exercise. You will be able to tone up everything and I think you will enjoy the results.0

Learn how to do kettle bell swings, that will definitely help get rid of belly fat. I use 10lbs for warm up and 25lbs doing interval of 60 to 90 seconds.0 -
I totally feel you. I get asked if I am preggers on the regular. It is like no one has ever heard that Brian Reagan skit where you NEVER EVER ask a woman that.
I notice if I go low carb I tend to lose more in my lbs. Low carb haters are gonna hate, but that has worked for me. Incorporating strength training, lots of cardio and that whole calorie deficit thing. Make sure you drink plenty of water and watch your sodium intake as that can leave your stomach all bloated.
Good luck and keep up the great work!0 -
16 lbs in 3 months? that's a little over 5 lbs a month, about a 1 lb week loss! as others said, add heavy lifiting. you'll get there.0

As others have said, calorie deficit and lift heavy. Lifting will change your body composition more than just straight dieting and/or cardio will so while you won't be able to target fat loss from that area, you will most probably look better /different afterwards even at the same weight.
Keep at it, sometimes the belly is the last place we lose fat. Sometimes it's the first. You just have to keep on working hard, doing what you're doing.0 -
Do some heavy lifting and make sure your calories are at a deficit.0

Kettle Bell swings are great but they will definitely not get rid of belly fat. They will strengthen your core but the only way to get rid of the fat is through a calorie deficit or liposuction.0 -
Personally I've found that heavy lifting (squats, dead lifts) work my abs the most. Combine that with some HIIT and a caloric deficit, and you'll get there. I think. (Winter is making me lazy. And fat.)0
