Half Marathon Newbie - two within a month?

Hi all,
After following the Hidgon novice half-marathon plan this summer, I completed my first half marathon in Asheville, NC at the end of September. Was a piece of cake, enjoyed it immensely! However, due to some old scar tissue, my R knee has been a little swollen and I've pretty much taken the last week off from exercising of any sort (running, biking, swimming, hiking, etc). It's deswelled as much as it's going to deswell.
My question is - I want to run another half this weekend (in two days). I've barely exercised in two weeks. I'm going to go for a run today at lunch to see how my knee feels, but I'm just wondering if it'd be smart to do this weekend's race ... how much as my endurance declined?
I've been reading how recovery from a half is different from a marathon. I'm a pretty strong active athletic type that bounces back pretty quickly for a 34 YO female who trashes her knees constantly.

Just curious if you ran your second half marathon this weekend or did you let our knee rest?0

Ha! I forgot I posted this. I wound up getting sick that weekend, so no-go on any running whatsoever for the following 2 weeks. But I'm planning on running the Seattle Half next month and started my long runs yesterday!
Thanks for the inquiry!
