Rump roast. It has a nice shape that you can grab on to easily for the input into the oven and looks like just the right amount of fat. Delicious.0

Depends on what you're having. I like to grind Boston butt for egg rolls, but Rump roast makes an awesome thick beefy stew.0

I second that!0 -
I guess, in this case, size would really matter.
If it's for entertainment, surely it must be large enough to please.
However for a more intimate occasion, the quality of the butt in question would have a larger impact.0 -
Boston butt. Better marbling, making it more tender and juicy.0

The rump roast is more shapely.0

I prefer the rump roast.0

I like big butts and I cannot lie....You other brother can deny...That when a girl walks in with an itty bitty waist and a round thing in your face you get SPRUNG0
-
I'm drooling over the butt.0

I know I should say the rump roast, as you could easily trim the fat, and all. However, I am naughty, and like to eat the fat anyway. So, I will go with the Butt as it's well marbled with the stuff.0

 I love it0 -
depends on how you're going to cook it. I'd go for the boston butt on the grill and then smoked. Gotta love the marbalization0

I pick the fatty azz. Better for slow roasting. All that fat makes the meat so tender. Mmmmm.0

I think my butt is better.0

A rump roast is beef, and it is actual "rump." Boston butt is pork, and it comes from the shoulder. False advertising.0

Depends. You'd have to lard that rump to get a decent roast out of it.0
