Healthy Treats for Kids on Halloween

Not sure whether to make a candy run this Halloween for the trick-or-treaters. I'm thinking rather of spreading the MFP spirit and passing out egg-white finger sandwiches.

You're going to give them bread????

Not bread--toast is more exact.
And it will be with egg whites, and maybe some arugula. I make this all the time for myself--it's delicious and healthy.
Another option is to skip the egg whites, and just pass out toast.0 -
Can't believe you're giving these kids egg whites. That's an animal life.
You are so sick.0 -
NO NO NO!!!!!!!!!0

Do you WANT your house to be egged and TP'd?

What are you doing with the egg yolks ?? Saving them for Sam Hain? Heathen!0

The only acceptable eggs for Halloween are these:

Of course, if you just pass out toast, that has sugar, and we all know bread is the devil. Have to rethink this.0

You should give out a letter too.. explaining your reasoning.. "dear kids, you're too fat for candy. Shame on your parents for letting you be kids and allowing you to trick or treat. I've also included a bucket, so when you become bulimic you don't vomit on my lawn. signed your loving neighbor."0

Bread....pffffffffffft....it'll just end up like this. Try again. Amateurs. You are NO MATCH for kids on halloween. Just give up.

They are kids, it's Halloween, give them candy. I bought a couple bags of candy specifically to hand out for Halloween. Just because I eat healthy doesn't mean every kid has to suffer like I do. :sad:0

I am putting rocks in their bags this year, they will not even know.0

Just give them cash0

i don't want to be mean, but i would just turn off my light and not pass out candy. otherwise, there are popcorn balls or goldfish cracker in small Halloween pkgs, nuts, candy wont hurt! that's what kids expect on this one night a year! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! i'm not depriving myself nor anyone else...0

I'd rather get a letter saying I was too fat for Halloween candy....0

pass out toothbrushes and then plan to move.0

Didn't you see that commercial? Loser!0

How about pretzels? It's an ok alternative and they come in cute little halloween bags too...0

Got to add too - most parents will just pitch sandwiches or home made stuff anyway, as you can never be sure what people put in there. It will also most likely get squished in the bucket by all the candy on top.0

I've got it: Paleo Packs.
Little Ziplocked bags of Paleo treats, like beef jerky and dried apricots and pork rinds.

Tooth brushes, pencils, raisins and beef jerky.
These are good suggestions. Home made food will be thrown away by most parents unless they are personal friends. There have been bad things hidden in good food that wasn't sealed in years gone by. We wouldn't even let our kids accept apples from anybody we didn't know well.0 -
Free, expired vit. C, protein powder, and pre-workout samples I found in a bin behind GNC.0

Don't be that guy.0

I am going to give out my old cassette tapes to teach the children about historic technology. The best costume gets Nu Shooz - Poolside.0

Tooth brushes, pencils, raisins and beef jerky.
Lol....that's quite the "goodie bag."0
