What would you do

After a recent health scare I got to wondering. What would you do if you got told that you had a life threating illness with no cure. Would you continue to workout like a beast and eat healthy or would you say screw it and live it up.

I would eat healthy and exercise. There is no cure but, I would try to prolong my time as much as possible.0

I may not exercise as hard but I would still eat right. That can only help to prolong your life, in my opinion.0

Hookers and blow, hookers and blow !!!0

I think eating healthy and working out is living it up....nothing beats feeling good inside and out0

I would just focus on quality of life. I would still exercise and eat to feel my best but enjoy life too and not worry so much. But yes, I'd still strive to be a great example for my boys so that they will live a healthy, long life!0

It depends. Would working out and eating healthy prolong things? If not...AINT NOBODY GOT TIME FO DAT!
I would do whatever I wanted / felt like doing that made me happy for the rest of the time I had left here.0 -
I would continue to work out and try to enjoy the little bit of life I have left. Never know if you might add extra time for yourself, so why the heck not.0

Yep
Quit my job and blow all my money on doing fun things and maybe go skydiving near the end and just not open the parachute to bypass the whole sick in bed thing!0 -
Doctors have been known to be wrong. If exercising and eating healthy makes me feel good, I'm going to keep doing it.0

I'd spend every moment making memories with my son, taking pictures, and hoping he'd remember how much I love him. Nothing else would matter.0

This.
Doctors are generally just guessing when they say you will probably die soon. I have several relatives that have outlived their doctor quoted expected life spans by sometimes more than decades. Unless eating well and exercising would make the issue worse, I would keep going.0 -
i would try hemp oil, they say it cures everything.0

spend all my time with my son.....he even works out with me...he's 3.
Mine is three too. I'd be so scared he wouldn't remember me.0 -
I like my exercise....I find it a stress relief.
So I would continue.0 -

THIS My one year old does burpees. WTH?!? o_O0 -
I would continue to workout and be healthy because i love doing it so much but, i would also let loose and live differently and enjoy all the things i cant on the norm.0

I guess I'm one of the few that would say screw it and go for gluttony :drinker:0

I'm a foodie so I enjoy most of the things I eat now anyway but I'd definitely give in to the cravings more often! The exercise would depend on how long I have and how I feel. If we're talking weeks or a few months, I'd quit my job and mostly concentrate on spending time with family and friends and enjoying myself. If we're talking months to years with a pretty good quality of life, I'd probably keep exercising but take the intensity down a notch.0

I'd exercise even harder and eat even better. That way, when the zombie apocalypse happens and I come back from the dead I can be one of those strong, fast zombies and eat all the brains I want to.0
-
I'd start drinking, eating and smoking and go on a spending spree.0

That's why I'm on here. I was diagnosed with an illness/disease and it scared the begeezus out of me. However, it has nothing to do with weight or how I've lived my life, just something in my genes or chromosomes, I guess. My illness has a great potential to affect my quality of life, there is no cure, only treatment right now. With that being said, I want to make sure I'm healthy, strong and fit. I already know that if I "live it up" then my health will surely begin to decline.0
