Hell, I look fat when standing.

 Pretty much this, unless I'm wearing spanx. Then my fat looks firm.

anybody looks fat when they sit....lean when standing

The best bit of advice in this subject is:

Don't slouch when sitting, sit up straight and
don't slouch when standing, stand up straight and
don't slouch when walking, walk straight

    in fact......

    don't slouch EVER!

I notice this. I look way thinner when standing but when I sit all my fat seems to pool in my stomach and makes me look way heavier. When I'm trying on clothes, I make a point to sit in them because they could fit great while standing but get super tight and bunchy when I sit. I even go as far as to make sure I'm standing when someone takes a pic of me, lol.

  • Hell, I look fat when standing.
Dude, I just burst out laughing. No joke lol.
    Awesome reply hahahaha.

perhaps I haven't explained properly.when one loses tonnes of weight the body becomes jiggly & squishy - maybe the remaining stubborn fat, loose skin etc.So the fat tends to protrude & spread out.Maybe it will become better after going down really low & then bulking.

I'm going to assume OP's first language isn't English...

Yes, it's normal to have extra / loose skin when loosing a lot of weight (or after having children), and yes this skin is more apparent when we sit than when we stand. Lifting weights and building muscle will help this a bit but can't fix it all (and lifting weights while losing to begin with is a good idea too), some people do end up having surgery. Either way it's better to have lose skin than to stay overweight and unhealthy.

My belly looks it's worse when I'm in a plank position. Thanks kids. :grumble:

Same... thanks kids.. :grumble: :grumble: :grumble:
  • I am not overweight and i still feel flabby when i sit. This is noticeable to me when i sit in front of the hair stylist's mirror prior to having the cape put on me. i think part of it is clothes, they may bunch up in certain ways we aren't familiar with when we look at ourselves standing in front of the mirror. also, if you lost weight and are wearing clothes a little too big for you--this effect can be exacerbated.

    Posture, ladies.

and dudes. Rounded back = yuk, even with a tiny body fat percentage. You just look like a petulant teenager.
