Pizza

Hi,
The funniest thing happened to me today. I was thinking of going out and have a slice of pizza. I have been on my diet for 52 days now, and I'm doing OK. So I started working out and the door bell rang, I answered it and it was Dominos Pizza with three pizza's. I couldn't believe it. I was almost tempted to pay for it and eat the whole thing, but I was good, it was my neighbors food. Just thought you might find it amusing.

Lol, Dominos is NOT the way to go!
You can get a slice of pizza once in a while! Get real pizza though, not that fast pizza junk.
I LOVE Kashi pizza. Even if it's frozen. It's so delicious.0 -
Ever try Amy's pizza? in grocery aisle freezer. 870 cals,[WHOLE THING], wheat flour[complex carb] actually good for you...TRY IT...0

Better yet . . . make your own pizza . . . that way you know exactly what goes into it.
Fresh and Easy grocery stores do sell the whole wheat dough to make the crust (or if you are brave you could make your own dough too). Throw on some raw cheese (if you have access to it -- the Bashas by us has it in their organic section, Fry's/Kroger has it too -- Trader Joes, Whole Foods, Sprouts, Henry's also viable options), veggies, and tomato sauce (be careful to watch any added sugars).
Best wishes!:flowerforyou:0 -
My secret is not to deprive myself of things I love. I make homemade pizza about every 10 days... I just adjust the rest of my food intake to still be under my calories for the day. I do the same thing with a homemade cheeseburger. And I have a chocolate day once a week. Again, always under my calories for the day. If I didn't do this, I dont think I would have been successful at losing 29 pounds in 2 months. It's gotta be something I can live with or I will just gain all the weight back.0

I try to plan my pizza day on the weekend when I'm more active and burning calories. Since we are eating less, I try to buy better quality ingredients like imported San Marzano tomatoes for the sauce. Just found an excellent Chicken Italian Sausage yesterday at the store. If someone has a good whole wheat crust formula, please post it. I'm looking for one w/o oil or sugar.0
