Hi, I'm a new FitBit One user (just got mine yesterday). So far I'm loving it. How do I sync it with MFP? I went through the steps to "allow" MVP and FB to sync, but I don't see any FB information when I log into MFP.
Thanks so much. :-)

Wondering this myself. I just got my new Fitbit One yesterday, and set it up today. Am hoping thatmaybe it takes 24 hours before things start displaying in MFP.
On the upside, I *am* seeing the exercise and food I entered into MFP in my Fitbit profile, so that part is doing fine.0 -
I asked Fitbit and this is answer that I just received in my email.
Hello Barbara, We are glad to help you with your inquiry regarding MyFitnessPal and syncing your information. Once your tracker has been connected, just start wearing your Fitbit, and sync it periodically with it's wireless base station. Data from your tracker will automatically be imported into MyFitnessPal, and we'll adjust your calorie goal accordingly. Simply wear your tracker, and keep logging your foods and exercises on MyFitnessPal - we'll take care of the rest. You'll automatically get the benefit of Fitbit's seamless tracking while continuing to use MyFitnessPal in the same way that you've come to enjoy. If you have more questions, we've created a new set of FAQs for our Fitbit integration, as well as an official Fitbit Users Group where you can receive tips from other Fitbit users at www.myfitnesspal.com. To ensure your Fitbit tracker works well with MyFitnessPal, please make sure to follow the steps below: 1. Log foods and exercises only on MyFitnessPal. Log the foods that you eat and the exercises that you perform only on MyFitnessPal.com or on a MyFitnessPal mobile app. Any MyFitnessPal diary entries will automatically be synced to your Fitbit account. Do not log foods or exercise on Fitbit.com — any foods or exercises logged via Fitbit.com will NOT be synced to MyFitnessPal and could result in double-counting or other inaccuracies. 2. Record start times for all cardio exercises. In order for your Fitbit tracker to accurately calculate your calorie burn, you'll need to record a start time for all cardio exercises you log on MyFitnessPal. If you use a MyFitnessPal mobile app, make sure you update to the latest version so that you can record start times from the app as well. 3. Use your Fitbit tracker to track your calorie burn, sleep, and steps. Wear your Fitbit tracker to track your everyday actives. When you sync your Fitbit Tracker with the base station, your calorie burn, sleep, and steps will automatically be synced to your MyFitnessPal account. 4. Watch your daily Net Calorie Goal adjust automatically. When your Fitbit syncs with its base station, we'll automatically update our estimate of your daily calorie burn with the actual data recorded on your Fitbit. If your Fitbit shows you've been more activate than we projected, we'll increase your Net Calorie Goal for the day to account for the extra activity. To see how large the calorie adjustment is on any given day, just look for the "Fitbit Adjustment" in your exercise diary. Note that if you don't see an adjustment, don't worry — that just means you haven't been active enough to require a Fitbit adjustment for the day. 5. Join the Fitbit Users Group on MyFitnessPal. By joining the MyFitnessPal Fitbit Users Group, you can meet other Fitbit users and get tips and tricks from other people who've integrated their Fitbit with MyFitnessPal. Click here to learn more about the group. There's nothing else you need to do! Just keep moving, sync your Fitbit Tracker whenever you can, and we'll handle the rest. If you're curious about exactly how we calculate the adjustment, keep reading — otherwise, feel free to get started now.
Please let us know if you have more questions. We'll be happy to help. Original message I'm using My Fitness Pal to track all of my food and workouts...
but I have notice on my MFP, that the Flex has already input my work outs and then I neter in what I really did. I'm confused on what the flex is doing. Should I allow it to do it own thing, or should I post my workout anyway?0 -

If your workout is step related (walking, running etc) just let fitbit do its thing because that is what it is made to track. For other workouts it is completely up to you. Some people track all their workouts, some people (me) don't log anything and just let FitBit do its thing. I actually log 1 calorie for 1 minute just to track things, but don't log actual workouts.
If you do log just log your start time and length of workout and then FitBit will adjust the calories it would have given you for that time period.0 -
Just yesterday, I walked two hours...as an experiment, I logged one hour into MFP...immediately, Fitbit adjusted the calories to subtract that amount from the activity calories it had added. The amount of extra calories it left was about the same for the other hour of walking. I would follow their instructions (as sent to you) and log all exercise into MFP, then let Fitbit do its thing.
I'm new to Fitbit as well, and have noticed that throughout the day it adjusts your allowable (to eat) calories up and down depending on what you are doing, so I pretty much ignore Fitbit's suggested calories for eating and just use MFP's daily goal plus whatever exercises calories I logged into MFP (in other words, I don't eat back Fitbit calories...they are just 'bonus exercise' for me).0 -
Thanks so much for the input! I still find it a bit confusing, but I've gotten around that by disabling the negative adjustment ability of fitbit. When I enabled the negative adjustment capability, it just confused the heck out of me. I'm still loving my fitbit and love it's little "cheers".0
