Logging Calories at the gym

So the last week or so when I've been going to the gym, I've been entering my weight and adding up the calories burnt on each machine. I was wondering is there an easier way to log the calories burn at the gym rather than creating a new exercise for each gym visit? Is there an option for "quick add exercise calories" like there is for quick add eating calories? Sorry if I'm missing something really obvious

If you can't find it doing a search, add it in yourself?0

I do but I do a different workout each time, so have to make a new exerise each time. I just thought there must be a quick add exercise cals? Maybe not, creating a workout each time isn't such a burden anyway0

Curious what kind of exercises you are logging that arent in the database?0

just log it all as "strength training" when your doing weights.0

Like treadmill and cross trainer. I'm not doing it at a constant speed or snything so feel like I should be accurate0

Do these pieces of equipment not have settings that allow you to work out until a certain number of calories are burned?
As apposed to working towards time goals or distance goals?
This may provide you a better solution.0 -
Ignore what the machines tell you that you have burned. They are all over inflated.
I suggest you start thinking about your METS, and use the METS method to calculate your calorie burn rather than what the equipment tells you.
If that is too complicated, then just halve the number the machines give you - yes it is THAT bad!
Or buy a HRM, either way...0 -
Really? Even though they take account of your weight? They seem like good exercise machines too, touchscreen with tv and games on too
that's quite disheartening
