1.) What flavors do you like and don't like?
2.) Would you prefer something you have to drink, or can just add to food?0 -
Here in NZ I found a protein powder that has no added flavour or artificial colours, it tastes a bit like milk powder, so isn't that great on cereal, but its nice to be able to make up my own flavours without that after taste. I have added coffee to make a on the go cold coffee drink, used it in making a protein cake, and added fruit such as frozen bananas. Its now my favourite0

I use optimum nutrition's 100% whey gold standard. I get it because its fairly well priced. I've tried vanilla, double rich chocolate and strawberry. I liked the strawberry one the best but the double rich chocolate is pretty good if you blend it with a frozen banana. I sometimes add sugar free Hershey's chocolate syrup to make it a little more chocolaty. Yum now I want one.0

Optimum 100% Natural Whey - Chocolate is my favorite tasting power to this point. It has no artificial sweeteners.0

About Time. All natural and sweetened with stevia. I spent several years searching, and these are the best tasting flavors I've found, and without additives and heavy metals. You can even cook with it. Check it out on their website if you want. http://tryabouttime.com0

I like body fortress super advanced whey protein. I've only seen it in vanilla and chocolate but both are good with water and better with milk. Never tried it as anything other then a shake though.0

We use Body Fortress Whey Protein. You can get it on Amazon for about $30 for a 2 pack of 2 lbs each. It is good with water. It is good in oatmeal. It is great in a shaker cup with a few ice cubes and 8-12 oz of milk. I think it is sweet so I always add more than 8 oz of liquid. These are my favorite recipes right now to switch it up for just vanilla.
Vanilla Latte: 8-12 oz milk (cow, almond, soy), 6 ice cubes, 1 scoop protein powder, 8-12 oz coffee, and 1 tsp vanilla extract.
Chocolate Peanut Butter: 8-12 oz milk, 6 ice cubes, 1 scoop protein powder, 1 Tbs plain cocoa powder, and 1 Tbs peanut butter.
Pumpkin Spice: 8-12 oz milk, 6 ice cubes, 1 scoop protein powder, 1/4 cup pumpkin pure, and 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice.0 -
I'm using Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey in the double rich chocolate now. It's pretty good but I prefer the vanilla because it gives you more flavor options from mix in.
Want chocolate? Add a tablespoon of chocolate powder.
Want fruit or berry flavor? Add a cup of frozen berries.
Want a snickerdoodle flavor? Add chocolate powder, cinnamon, and a little plain toasted oatmeal.0 -
I use MyProtein's Native 95 Whey Protein.. Awesome stuff.. I buy the Vanilla (for the gym) and the unflavoured for smoothies at home.
My signature breakfast shake (especially the day after a long run or a hard workout- or both lol) is:
A banana
A handful of blueberries
A cup of raw rolled oats
2 tbsp of Chia Seeds
Cold water
One spoon of Natural Yoghurt
A Handful of raw Kale and of Spinach
A scoop of Whey Protein0 -
I like GNC Wheybolic Extreme. Right now I have cookies and cream, vanilla, and strawberry. I love the strawberry in my green smoothies. I like the taste and texture of these. I haven't tried them with water, I drink them with unsweetened almond milk after a workout. Serving is 3 scoops, but I use 1 scoop. 20 grams of protein per scoop.
The vanilla is my least favorite, I've yet to find a vanilla protein powder that tastes how I expect it to.0 -
100% u will like allmax 81% protein powder. Not chalky does not leave a nasty taste. I have brought it to others at the gym to try and everyone is buying it now. I use chocolate and it's hard to have just one glass. I could easily do a liter. Tastes just like chocolate milk. Soooo good!0

I use unflavored Now Foods Whey Protein Isolate off of Amazon. I mix it with 8 oz of fat free milk, 1.5 cups of crushed ice, & 1 serving of sugar free pudding powder--whatever flavor you feel like, or pb2. The protein powder has 25 g of protein per serving. It mixes really well when I use an immersion blender or with my Oster Blender cup, but just stirring it in, it clumps. With the milk, it's 33 grams for the whole meal.0

What is the name of this protein powder (I'm in New Zealand as well)?0 -
In my opinion "tasty protein drink" is an oxymoron unless you are talking about a chocolate malt from Baskin and Robbins. But a lovely sirloin steak right off the grill? Now that's another protein story. To each his own!0

It NHS from Australia and I get it through Punch Supplements, here is the link that shows all their products they have for NHS

Syntrax Nectar! My favorite flavors are Caribbean Cooler (pineapple coconut), Vanilla Bean Torte & Chocolate Truffle. I add the first to my breakfast Greek yogurt, plus Kashi Go Lean, roasted edamame & fresh pineapple. It's also good in water with some pineapple coconut Dasani water enhancer. The last 2 flavors are good just mixed in milk.
If you want to change up the tastes a little, try adding some sugar-free pudding or jello to your protein powder/milk mix. Vanilla Bean Torte + Pistachio pudding is the bomb! You can also try orange jello for creamsicle. Chocolate Truffle plus a little Carnation Chocolate Malt powder is also delicious!0 -
Those are some great ideas! I've used Body Fortress vanilla for a long time, and I'm just tired of it. I like EAS Soy (chocolate) but I'm trying to get away from soy. And I have Dr. Mercola's strawberry but it's nasty. I'll have to try some of the recipes you guys posted and look up the brands. Thank!!0

on a budget, bodyfortress vanilla is really tasty. Their chocolate is pretty goody, but I switched to vanilla. Muscle Pharm's Arnold series vanilla is delicious as well, and ON 100% whey is really good.0
