Fresh Start in the Kitchen- Gimme Grocery List Ideas!

I'm just about to move out from my roomie's apartment (just bought a condo for myself!!!), and I managed to pretty well eat up everything I had left for my food. So at my new place, it's a fresh start for the pantry and the fridge! My roomie always ate so horribly, so eating healthy around him was tough!! Now it's mine, all mine!
So, throw me your guys' grocery must-haves! I don't have any eating restrictions, really, so bring it on!

First of all, congratulations on purchasing a home!
I find one of my most useful kitchen purchases outside of actual food to be a small chest freezer. I do quite a bit of meal prep.
Are you in the US? If you are go to a whole foods or a grocery store with bulk bins and get the following:
Rice - I like a mix of brown basmati, red, and wild.
Lentils - I like red and yellow
Beans - kidney, white, black
Pasta - some sort of whole grain. Preferably tri colored cuz its pretty.
Egg noodles - the large kind I associate with american food and the thinner kind for stir fries.
Spices and Condiments - I find these to be best and cheapest at middle eastern, indian, or mexican markets, but I've found good deals at whole foods too. Middle Eastern/African/Mexican - Cumin, Coriander, Paprika, Garlic, Ginger, and whole/powdered: cinnamon, cloves, cardamon, canned chipotles in adobo. Asian - White pepper, ginger, garlic, sesame oil, soy sauce. Other - rosemary, thyme, oregano, basil
Depending on your freezer space you may want to stock up on some frozen items. I usually keep a large bag of mixed frozen veggies, corn, strawberries, and other fruits not in season on hand. I also buy my meat in bulk and portion it into reasonable sized portions in freezer bags.
I also like to keep a few things around for quick meals. Jars of good quality marina sauce, stir fry sauces, etc. I roast a chicken once or twice per week and can throw the leftovers in anything. I will also prep a few portions of vegetables each week and put those into the freezer. Then when I'm running low on time into the crockpot they go!
My most used non food items besides tupperware are a julienne slicer, a hand held mandoline slicer, peeler, good tupperware, and freezer bags.
I try to keep these things always in my house. Then once per week I go out to get fresh fruits, veggies, milk, cheese, bread, and fresh herbs (dill, parsely, cilantro, mint, scallions).0 -

Lots of good ideas but don't forget the spices. I like spice blends so I don't have a million bottles. Salt, pepper are always the basics then I get an Italian blend, a Cajun blend, an Asian 5 spice and an all purpose blend. I also use tons of onions, garlic, ginger and have rosemary and basil growing on the window sill.0
