I'm not turning 41 - I'm turning 40-fun!

Today is my birthday, and I gave myself the best birthday present ever: a happier, healthier me!
This improved me is:
-- 26 pounds lighter (exceeded my birthday goal of 25 lbs!)
-- 10.5" inches smaller
-- Almost 4 minutes faster (running/walking)
-- Made exercise a habit I enjoy
-- Developed a good relationship with food
The residual benefits of this improvement
-- Instead of dreading switching my closets for fear of what will no longer fit -- I've rediscovered clothes that I hadn't fit in years
-- I can run and play with my kids with abandon. When we had my son's kid vs. parents scrimmage soccer game on Friday -- I was the first parent out on the field!
-- I feel strong and happy and ready to conquer the world.
-- I have the commitment and desire to lose the rest of the weight that I've gained over the years and to keep on keepin' on!

I'm turning 40 in exactly 2 months, and thanks to MFP I won't be obese when I hit it, as they say Life begins at 40, more so 41!

Way to go! I am with you I turned 40 last month and couldn't be happier
) I have lost a total of about 50lbs from my highest weight in Jan. of this year. I have a long way to go but I am a whole lot closer than I was at the beginning of this year. :happy: 0 -
