On this site people go on about TDEE .What does the letters stand for and how do I find out what mine is ? I see from one of the posts that when you know what yours is you deduct 10 - 20% for weight loss.Does your age affect the result ?

TDEE stands for Total Daily Energy Expenditure. It's the number of calories your body burns in a day and also the number of calories you would need to eat to maintain your current weight.
There are a lot of online calculators that you can use to get an estimate of yours. http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/0 -
