Dizziness and feeling faint during workout

I've been taking spinning classes for a little over a year once or twice a week, but today something strange happened. I completed the half hour class and proceeded on with the tone portion of it using resistance bands. During the third exercise my traps suddenly started to feel really sore so I took a break, but the feeling didn't subside. Suddenly I felt really dizzy and my vision went fuzzy and dark. I decided to just sit down against the wall for a few minutes and the instructor brought me a mat to lie down on and put my legs up the wall. After a few minutes I felt well enough to go back to the locker room.

I didn't feel like I was overdoing it and I know I'm not dehydrated, I ate breakfast a few hours before the class (which is at lunch time)...

I have no idea why this happened or how to prevent it from happening in the future. Any thoughts?

    Anyone?
  • my thoughts were dehydration or lack of calories, I get dizzy if i under eat but you've already discounted those, I would go see your doctor if it happens again and they can run tests to ensure your blood sugars are in the right range

  • Some of the possibilties.

    #1 Poor blood circulation..
    - stay away from stimulans (coffe, energy drinks ..)
    -Tobacco
#2 probably low overall calorie intake ( carbs, fats, proteins)
    #3 Do you sleep 8hours?
#4 Do you drink enough water?
    #5 Breath deep.
    #6 not enough vitamines&minerals
    #7 To much stress.

    Whats your daily macronutrient intake?
