Best Heart Rate Moitor?

Hey All ~

I am planning to invest in a heart rate monitor and would like feedback from others as to what you have purchased:

* What HRM did you purchase and were you happy with the purchase?
* What do you like best about your particular HRM?
* What do you like least or would like to change about your HRM?
* If you were re-purchase, what advice would you give and/or what HRM would you purchase next time?

Thanks ... I really value all of your collective experiences and input.

P.S. My goal is weight loss and I am very good about tracking my food and exercise daily so I'd like to choose a HRM that will help me more accurately track my level of physical intensity and calorie burn. No Smart Phone. I do all my logging, etc. through my PC.

Polar FT4, hands down. Didn't spend a fortune on it and have used it almost every single day for the last 8 months and haven't had any trouble with it, other than needing to get a new battery. Look for them on Amazon. I purchased mine for about $65.

Same with me, except I have the FT7. They both seem to be the most popular HRM's and I got mine around the same price.

I would compare features and prices and go with one of the two.

I agree I have the FT7 and love love love it. I am going to upgrade to the FT80 only because it for both strength training and cardio where as the other watches are geared to cardio.

How many times to the URLs for HR monitors have to be quoted in this thread? Edit your quotes people.

Anyway... I have an old Polar F6 I've had for almost 7 years. I wear it everytime I do Cardio. Finally had to replace the Chest strap for it. If mine ever wears there's no question I'd get another Polar
