Burning Calories

So, my bike tells me I burned 118 calories for 25 min, which I feel I burned more than that. MFP tells me I burned 243, which I don't think I burned that much. What do I go by? Is there a device that will give me specifics?
Thanks in advance

What level were you on? I noticed on the bike calories are burned much slower for me about 6-7cals a min instead of 10 unless I stay above 80mph0

pick one and go by it..... always
No... Its all guesstimates..0 -
I go by what my machine says. Because I always adjust the speed.
example on a treadmill walking
2mph 2.7mph 3.5mph 4mph then take it back down and do again.
I tried to use the average speed but mfp doesnt have ( example= brisk walk at 2.7)0 -
Yes, the machine is not perfect but still probably better than MFP-which I think overestimates0

Of course, I ususally like to put in the higher number to make my ego feel better but then don't eat all the calories back0

Thanks guys for your responses.
Soldiergirl, I don't have levels on this bike. It's the one where the fan is the resistance, it's pretty tough. Even my daughter who uses her bike regularly found this one to be tough. I love it though.
Bunnies, I didn't eat my calories back either.0
